If 'teri' means 'shine,' and 'yaki' refers to grilling, then these chicken skewers are the poster children for teriyaki. Marinated in soy sauce, sake, and mirin, the chicken is grilled to sweet, smoky perfection and dipped in a refreshing, herby miso 'ranch' sauce that'll send your summer cookout guests into a frenzy. In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients except cornstarch and chicken. Bring to boil over high heat.

  8. Prepare 2 tbsp soy sauce

Combine water, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and ginger. Stir cornstarch into remaining sauce and bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens slightly (I did this step right before cooking chicken). Teriyaki Chicken (照り焼きチキン) is more commonly called tori no teriyaki (鳥の照り焼き) in Japan. Tori (鳥) means bird but chicken in this context.

Instructions to make Chicken Teriyaki:
  1. Mix all ingredients for chicken
  2. Mix well with your hand
  3. Mix all your sauce ingredients
  4. Fried your chicken with medium low fire, cose pan and wait 3 minutes
  5. Flip over after 3 minutes, close pan and wait 3 minutes
  6. After done, with low fire pour your sauce to chicken then saute. After your sauce like pasta its done

Teriyaki Chicken (照り焼きチキン) is more commonly called tori no teriyaki (鳥の照り焼き) in Japan. Tori (鳥) means bird but chicken in this context. It is one of the most popular Japanese dishes among Aussies and I presume in other parts of the world as well. Add chicken and toss with the sauce until well mixed. Instructions Whisk the tamari, water, vinegar, honey, cornstarch, ginger, and garlic together in a medium bowl until the cornstarch is dissolved; set aside.
