  1. Brown the stewing steak, add onion, carrot, parsnip and leeks, leave to fry for 5 mins. Add tomato puree and stir. Add water to just cover the meat and veg.
  2. Leave until it comes to the boil add potatoes fill water until it covers. Add 2 stock cubes. Simmer for 1-2 hours.
  3. Add cabbage after few hours, and 2 more stock cubes, add gravy to slightly thicken, serve
